Are you open-handed or Scrooge-like with respect to your peers?rnNew benchmark data from Culpepper & Associates indicates that among line employees working in operations - which encompasses everything from customer service to production to finance - 37% participate in some short-term incentive program.rnAt the manager level, 56% enjoy incentives, and at the director level, the participation rate rises to 79%.rnLong-term incentives like stock options aren't as popular: Just 13% of employees, 23% of managers and 46% of directors report getting them.rnThe data comes from Culpepper's compensation surveys of HR people at more than 750 companies.
