摘要

Volume 22 was highly significant in the history of Human Resource Management Journal (HRMJ). After several years of campaigning, HRMJ's debut ISI impact factor was announced as 1.388. Although we have strong ambition for the journal and will work to build on this over the coming years, this initial impact factor places HRMJ amongst the top tier of human resource journals. It places HRMJ as fifth ranked journal in the industrial and labour relations and 69th in the management category on ISI. The formal process of getting the journal listed began under Professor John Purcell's editorship and the success in this regard is reflective of the contributions of all previous editors, editorial board members, reviewers and, most importantly, authors who have through their efforts firmly established HRMJ as a leading outlet in the field.
