Reply to Letter from Dr. D. P. S. Rathore Concerning an Article by Kumar et al. (2011a)

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the letter from Dr. D. P. S. Rathore (2013), who raised some questions and concerns about our article "Risk Assessment for Natural Uranium in Subsurface Water of Punjab State, India" (Kumar et al. 201 la). In response, the correspondent should be aware of the protocols for collection and preliminary processing of water samples. Without filtration and acidification, we cannot do further analysis. Uranium was determined by using laser fluorimetry, following standard addition techniques that are used to avoid the matrix interferences.
