After successful sea trials Irnsum based Shipyard Van der Werff & Visser, delivered the single-screw beam trawler 'Vaya Con Dios' to her Belgian owners, Flamingo BVBA. The handing over ceremony and official inauguration of the beamer took place in the port of Zeebrugge on saterday 19 June 1999. The Z-526 is designed for fishing/bottom trawling the whole year round on flatfish. The closed stern beam cutter has been allocated the fisheries register number Z-526 from the fishery register at Zeebrugge, Belgium. Built to the well-known design standards of Scheeps-bouwkundig Adviesbureau Herman Jansen in Monnickendam, the vessel fully complies with the regulations and requirements of the Belgian Shipping Inspectorate (BZI).
