Regulatory Priorities Include Public Housing Capital, Operating Fund, Project-Based Voucher Rules

A final regulation for the Section 8 project-based voucher program and proposed rules for the public housing capital and operating funds are among HUD's regulatory priorities for fiscal 2005. The priorities, along with the rest of the rules on the department's semiannual regulatory agenda, were published in the December 13 Federal Register. The rules include timetables for action. However, because work on the agenda was completed weeks ago — Deputy Secretary Roy Bernardi's signature is dated September 28 - some of the projected action dates have already passed.
