HUD Issues Job-Pirating Interim Rule with Time Limit on Penalty For Employment Relocation

HUD has published an interim anti-pirating rule that prohibits direct community development block grant (CDBG) assistance to relocate a significant number of jobs from one area to another, with a time limit on the elimination of jobs in the original location to be considered pirating. The interim rule was published in the December 23 Federal Register and goes into effect on February 21. Comments ate also due February 21.
