Cook County Foreclosure Eviction Process Modified to Make Sure Tenants Receive Proper Notice

The Cook County, Ill., mortgage eviction process has been modified to ensure that renters are properly notified when their buildings are in foreclosure, according to Sheriff Thomas J. Dart. As a result, Dart said his office will resume foreclosure evictions on October 20.
