South Arkansas Nonprofit Develops Subdivision to Provide Housing For Low-, Moderate-Income Families

South Arkansas Community Development (SACD) is developing a 128-unit single-family subdivision on 40 acres in Arkadelphia, Ark., with the help of loans from the Housing Assistance Council (HAC). At least half of the lots will be set aside for housing affordable to low- and moderate-income families, and some of the new homeowners will be aided through the Rural Housing Service (RHS) self-help housing program.
