HUD has decided not to implement a planned 16-ba-sis-point-increase in fiscal 2008 mortgage insurance premiums (MIPs) for three FHA multifamily programs for projects without low-income housing tax credits. Housing organizations representing developers and lenders were informally told of the decision this month.
