Louisville Provides Preference for Special Needs Housing Vouchers

The Louisville Metropolitan Housing Authority (LMHA) is operating a direct access special admission program to award Section 8 vouchers to targeted special needs families or families living in specific rental units. When a direct access family exits the voucher program, the voucher is reissued to an applicant with the same specific characteristics of need. LMHA described the direct access program and other voucher activities in its fiscal 2012 Moving-to-Work plan.
