Lightening Rod Mut. Ins. Co. v. Southworth, 2016-Ohio-3473, 2016 WL 3364964 (Ohio Ct. App. 4th Dist. Scioto County 2016), was a decision by Court of Appeals of Ohio that a contractor's liability insurer properly denied coverage for a claim of defective work performed on a manufactured home, where the claimed occurrence first occurred before the effective date of the policy and continued thereafter. The court barred application of the "recurrent occurrence" theory.
