In a case of first impression, the Court of Appeals of Maryland concluded that if a landlord sues a tenant for failure to pay rent under a residential lease, and wins a judgment which includes damages for unpaid rent and other expenses, a post-judgment statutory interest rate of 6% applies to all elements of the judgment.
