Technology undeniably continues to alter the inner workings of the hotel industry, participants in EURHOTEC '99 agreed. Technology allows hoteliers to supply standard services in new, more efficient ways, and it grants them the opportunity to offer services never before expected. But simply offering technological amenities isn't enough. The systems must be integrated into the hotel room in discreet ways that don't detract from the attractiveness and comfort of the room. And even these discreetly placed and designed systems must allow for intuitive ease of use.
