Grace Hotels, with offices in London, New York City and Athens, Greece, seems to have figured one out: owning and operating small, boutique luxury hotels in classic leisure destinations while building a portfolio with a patient, open-ended development strategy. While Grace is reticent to release hard data, the privately held company says its current portfolio of four properties is performing well enough that its total number is set to double in the next year, with four more hotels coming onboard.
