"[I am] everything at once," says artist, painter, and textile designer Philippe David. He points to his childhood as the start of his journey: he got his hands dirty cutting out things and painting, and "watched his father make cabinetry for homes and castles in Orleans, France. After attending the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Appliques et des Metiers dArts in Paris, his career took off. He worked for textile design studio Craft, designing prints for haute couture and kimonos; developed colorful prints for designer Thierry Mugler; freelanced for Robin Roberts' textile studio, Rubelli, and Nobilis; and worked on projects including 6 Mandel in Paris.
