Transforming a New Orleans railroad headquarters into a boutique hotel

After Northview Hotel Group acquired an old hotel that had once served as the headquarters for Queen & Crescent railroad line (its main route connected Cincinnati, the Queen City, and New Orleans, the Crescent City), Kraig Kalashian Architecture & Design (KKAD) of Chester, New Jersey was charged with a series of mergers in fashioning what would become the Q&C in New Orleans-including incorporating both transportation and Big Easy design cues as well as mixing customized furniture and reclaimed industrial bits.
