Shop.org's Executive Director Resigns

Shop.org's executive director, Scott Silverman, who has headed the digital division of the National Retail Federation since 2001, announced his resignation effective Aug. 13.rnSilverman is leaving to accept an executive-level and co-founder position with an e-commerce start-up.rnSilverman worked with the group's board of directors to develop and execute the organization's strategies and key programs.rnUnder his leadership, membership has grown to represent more than 60% of the top 100 retailers in the U.S. and Shop.org's Annual Summit has surpassed 2,500 attendees. Additionally, Silverman was part of the Shop, org team that coined the term "Cyber Monday."
