Heavy hitters such as Walmart, Tar-get and Clorox are expanding their natural cleaning products offerings, previously the territory of smaller eco-friendly companies, through proprietary-labels and new brands. In the fall, Walmart extended its private-label brand into natural cleaning products with the introduction of Great Value Naturals. In a statement, Alberto Dominguez, vp and divisional merchandise manager, said that the new line addresses consumers' perception that "all-natural cleaners are more expensive and don't work as well as traditional cleaning products." Prices run from $1.98 for a 32-ouncc glass and window cleaner to $8.97 for a 100-ounce laundry detergent. The products are available at Walmart stores and will be offered soon on Walmart.com.
