But when he woke up the next morning, not only had he made his goal, he had exceeded it by over 50%. His reaction? "Holy cow" - or words to that effect. By the time the project ended on Sept. 12, 2012, Stearns had more than doubled his initial goal, ending up with $17,098 for his project, Glitch Textiles, which translated digital patterns such as technical malfunctions or "glitches" into woven rugs and blankets.
