Multiple indicators suggest the home furnishings and furniture market is experiencing an opportunity for a healthy rebound in light of the 2009 recession, which saw percentage of total retail sales within the category drop from close to 5.0% to around 3.5%. In the last two years, we have seen an increase in activity in the home furnishings space, which includes our advisory work on the sale of Hayneedle, 3 Day Blinds, Design Within Reach and DwellStudio, and we have two other home furnishings transactions in process currently.
