Remember that old saying in the home textiles industry: If it's January it must be Heimtex? Well, this year you can forget about it. For the first time in our business lifetimes, there is no Heimtextil trade fair in Frankfurt Germany this month. There is still planned to be a smaller one in the spring, and there's a virtual platform called Nextrade, too, but the giant show that occupied millions of square feet - and most of the home textiles bandwidth for the first quarter of the year -is not to be.
