Bed Bath & Beyond earlier this month laid out some near-term initiatives that include cutting inventory and pushing through a rapid refresh to key stores before the holidays. In a letter to shareholders released Sept. 4, the company stressed that the initiatives are focused on the core Bed Bath & Beyond chain. The reporting structure for the other businesses has been streamlined under one leader - not identified in the letter - and the company said that through its work with Goldman Sachs it is evaluating "several different opportunities" related to the other chains and e-commerce businesses it owns.
