Iconix Moves Cannon into Wholesale Bedding

Unchained from its retail exclusives, the Cannon brand enters the wholesale arena by way of two new bedding alliances. Pern-America is the brand's newly inked licensee for fashion bedding, sheets, blankets, throws, down alternative utility bedding and window; and Blue Ridge Home Fashions is Cannon's partner for natural fiber and down utility bedding. The new product lines will be ready for roll out to department and specialty stores in spring 2020. The territories for the Pern America agreement are the US, Canada and Mexico; and Blue Ridge Home Fashions has the license for the US and Canada. The new bedding programs come on the heels of Iconix's announcement last November that Cannon would no longer be exclusive to Sears and Kmart, and Royal Velvet would be transitioned from a JCPenney exclusive to a wholesale market brand. In late February, Himatsingka America signed on as Iconix's Royal Velvet licensee to produce fashion and utility bedding, bath towels and coordinates, beach towels and pet textiles. In addition to Cannon and Royal Velvet, Iconix's portfolio of home brands also incudes Fieldcrest, Charisma and Waverly. "Cannon's new partnerships with Pern-America and Blue Ridge Home Fashions will help Iconix further strengthen and develop our home business," said Bob Galvin, CEO and president, Iconix.
