I snapped a few photos while walking around the block recently. Like everyone else in America, the residents of my new neighborhood are eager to reduce their electric bills. Now that the word is out in the consumer media - especially on every talk show and news broadcast that aired the week of Earth Day - that homeowners should swap out their incandescent bulbs for compact fluorescent versions, many did just that. Actually, they did so exactly- and that's the problem.
