摘要

Objective: Previous studies have demonstrated that hearts from animals with strept- ozotocin-induced diabetes mellitus are less susceptible to ischemia and reperfusion injury. However, the ability of a spontaneously diabetic heart to tolerate ischemia is unknown. The aim of this study was to investigate these pastfindings in the context of spontaneously diabetic, insulin-resistant rat hearts.
