European Campaign for Safe Road Design

Building on IHIE's commitment to the European Road Safety Charter and the UK's Campaign for Safe road Design, IHIE are pleased to be associated with the European Campaign for Safe Road Design. At the launch at the House of Lords, Chairman of the campaign, John Dawson, said "A safe road system needs road users who obey traffic law, manufacturers who provide safe vehicles and authorities who provide safe roads. Traffic law has been tightening up driver behaviour. Vehicle safety standards of new vehicles have soared from a typical two-star to typical four-star NCAP crash test rating."
