PIPS works with Ranger

PIPS Technology, the world leader in ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) technology has once again been chosen by Ranger Services to supply their P362 ANPR cameras and Autoplate software for an installation in over 350 locations. PIPS ANPR technology has been chosen by Ranger to be installed in a number of supermarket car parks and motorway service stations. Supermarket car parks are notoriously difficult to monitor, as well as being a target for criminal activity once the supermarket is closed. Barrier controlled systems can lead to long queues and delays on entrances and exits of car parks, which in turn deters customers from visiting. Parking attendants aren't always able to effectively monitor the large scale car parks and sometimes genuine customers cannot find a parking space. Petrol drive offs cost supermarkets and motorway service stations thousands of pounds in lost revenue every year.
