Raising the standard

Costain and Kier are two of six companies in the UK who are the first to be awarded the newly-created international certification ISO 44001 for collaboration. The new ISO 44001 standard, 'Collaborative business relationship management systems - requirements and frameworks', will provide guidance in identifying, developing and managing collaborative relationships between organisations. A replacement for national standard BS 11000, ISO 44001 ensures that businesses deliver a consistent level of quality to customers by having well-defined processes and procedures that are regularly reviewed.
