As the construction industry continues to bounce back from the worst of the coronavirus lockdown and subsequent slowdown, Balfour Beatty has come out strongest. The contractor landed nearly half a billion pounds worth of roads-related work in the third quarter of this year as Highways England looked to push on with major projects. Balfour Beatty's biggest deal was a £250m job to upgrade a roundabout at the interchange of the M25 and the A3 at Wisley in Surrey, which was signed off during the three months to September 2020.
