RSMA Members Excel in Highways England Competition

In September 2018, Highways England launched its Transforming Road Markings' Competition by inviting companies to submit their solutions for a road marking and removal system which would provide the required on-road performance whilst avoiding or significantly reducing road surface damage when removed, which would in turn enhance the customer [road user] experience. Each company was permitted to submit a maximum of 2 products for testing in each of the following categories: 1. Thermoplastic 2. Water-based paint 3. Cold plastics 4. Tapes 5. Other (not specified above) The competition comprised the following 3 stages.
