North American Print Producers Rediscover Four-Around Web Presses

Until recently, four-page-around web presses were one of those European things — such as stick shifts on luxury cars or holding your fork in the left hand at mealtimes — that never gained acceptance in North America. While four-page-around presses in 32-, 48- and 64-page configurations are widely used by European producers of high-volume products such as magazines, catalogs, free-standing inserts, flyers and direct mail pieces, North Americans had reservations about the presses. That might be changing.
