I had a case like this the other day. A client of mine hired me to do a color OK on a press in the Midwest. "While you're there," he said, "I want you to sneak back into inventory and scope out the printer's supply of paper. He's saying that he needs to pass along a price increase on our sheet, but I know he's got enough paper to print our magazine for at least two or three more months. He doesn't have to raise prices now. We're right in the middle of contract negotiations, and he's trying to fool us. Here's a list of the papers we've used. Check it out."
