Audio Zone may well be a new name to HFN readers, so a brief introductory preamble may be appropriate. Incorporated in 2003, this Canadian company was started by George Tordai, the proprietor of a large vintage and used hi-fi store in Toronto, and Peter Daniel, a mechanical engineer with a penchant for bespoke equipment construction. A chance meeting uncovered a mutual view of the high-fidelity world, where music was the absolute, overriding concern, and equipment and technology were purely a means to a musical end.
