I was irritated by Ken Kessler's article on the Klipsh corner horn speaker [Milestones, HFN July '09]. He seems to have used the occasion to do a bit of unpaid advertising for Wilson Audio. He seems to imply that Wilson Audio speakers sound similar to, or hold similar values to, the Klipsh horns. I want to raise the following issues.rnHe states that the K-Hom has a frequency response of 33Hz- 17kHz plus or minus 4dB. If that is the case then in the accuracy department this old classic is well ahead of any of the Wilson Audio loudspeakers you have reviewed recently. In fact, any speaker that claims monitor status and costs an arm and a leg should at least be able to match my inexpensive ATC SCM 7s, plus or minus 2.4dB response limits as measured by you. I have not seen any recent Wilson products coming close.
