Still dominated by that massive V-shaped yoke piece, with its 'flux damping' shorting turns to stabilise the magnetic field, and the round ends of the big Alnico column magnets visible, this latest Dynavector flagship looks similar to the preceding XV Is and XV-1. There have been changes internally, though, which Dynavector claims lend a 'silky smoothness' to the sound achieved by the previous iterations. The square-shaped MC armature appears to have been further refined and reduced in size, with a revised coil arrangement.
