Radical thinking has underpinned product development at Deltec Precision Audio since the launch of its CTA-80 preamp and silver-plated, PTFE-insulated solid core cables back in T985. DPA was an early and passionate advocate of RF filtering with its 'The Power' mains filters. Its awareness of the subjective impact of RF-induced distortions informed the design of its novel DH-OA32 hybrid op-amp, a compact gain stage used in its DPA-50S pre/power amplifiers. This celebrated amplifier featured a four-wire speaker connection, extending the amp's feedback loop right out to the speaker's own terminals. DPA was also first to market with an outboard DAC utilising Philips' 1-bit PDM chipset in 1989, and was one of the very first to employ a separate (optical) clock feed from a master oscillator in its DAC(s) to a compatible CD transport.
