Arresting in this red livery and also available in a gloss black finish, Thorens' new TD 309 Tri-Balance turntable is a real head turner. Fitted with its newly designed TP92 medium mass tonearm, it's expected to cost around £800 when it goes on sale shortly. Initially it will come with a switchmode power supply, while a beefier linear supply is also on Thorens' drawing board for a future upgrade. Its three-point suspension is adjusted from above.
