The AKCs recorded the lowest 1 kHz sensitivity of the group at 103dB SPL for 1Vrms input so they may not be best suited to portable audio devices with restricted output voltage. Not that you're going to use any of these 'phones on the Tube (are you?). Higher impedance than all but the Sennheisers partly explains this, but more importantly the variation in impedance over the audio band is quite high - a ratio of 1.54:1 - so avoid headphone amps having high output impedance if you wish to hear the Q701 s' intended tonal balance.
