A US importer of mid-price equipment recently informed me that he had just visited a pal's newly-decorated townhouse in Manhattan. The redecorating - not the cost of the apartment - was in excess of $1 million. Not associated with loony-tunes high-end, and therefore a realist, he was horrified to see that this dwelling, with state-of-the-art everything from cooker to freezer to shower heads, had nothing but a Bose Wave radio as its lone source of sounds.
