Truly, literally wonderful... all that great pop music should and ca'n be... a record as great as any of the greats it so obviously rejoices in... like The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds recorded on Venus... Not so much World Music as Out Of This World Music...' This is just a sample of the review I wrote for Melody Maker in September 1991 on the release of Primal Scream's Screamadelica. So I guess it should come as no surprise that you find me, main Screamer Bobby Gillespie and his keyboard-playing sidekick Martin Duffy sprawled around a table in a Hoxton pub discussing how their magnum opus will go down in history as some of the most innovative music ever recorded.
