Jem Finer, conceptual artist and founding member of Irish folk/punk group The Pogues, would like us all to slow down. Following, with no undue haste, on the heels of his 1999 Longplayer project is the 'Slowplayer' exhibit, shown all through March at the Newbridge Project gallery as part of Newcastle's AV Festival. Longplayer, if you remember, was a computer music sequence destined to play for a millennium, so 13 years on it's probably not even hit its stride.
