Yet Rio, capturing a single concert, is more vibrant, with a warm atmosphere and a fine, open sound. After the gruff, fugal labyrinth of the first of the 15 pieces, you can feel the audience holding its breath for the jewel-like lyricism of Part 2, and the fine balancing of light and dark continues to create a satisfying whole. Completists will have bought this by now.
