A fearless and exhilarating pianist, Rahman scored a great off-the-cuff success with Live, recorded in 2007 at London's Pizza Express with her own trio featuring ON Hayhurst on bass and Gene Calderazzo, drums. Now you can hear the same group with the benefit of clean studio sound, and perhaps even deeper rapport. Once again there's also the clarinet of brother Idris Rahman, as he and Zoe dig into their Bengali heritage more strikingly than ever, with the music of Tagore. Then they whoop it up on an Irish tune, 'Butlers Of Glen Avenue,' while guest star Cqurtney Pine's pensive alto flute on 'Conversation With Nellie' makes a nice contrast.
