The Klemperer Discography

After the first mono recordings of Symphonies 3, 5 annd 7 in 1955, the Klemperer cycle was resumed at Kingsway Hall only in October 1957 with stereo productions of Symphonies 2, 6,4, 1, 8 all in quick succession in that order. The Ninth was recorded one month later with the newly formed Philharmonia Chorus, created by Wilhelm Pitz. (A preferable RFH live Ninth from that same time is on Testament SBT 1117.)
