Binaural: a different view

I read Keith Howard's article 'Binaural stereo: take two' in the April 2013 issue and totally agree with him that simple Blumlein stereo ought to be phased out on psycho-acoustic grounds, both on the recording and reproduction end. However, I think it is a mistake to suggest that crosstalk cancellation is only useful if used with dummy-head recordings and not with 'conventional' recordings.
