Just a couple of observations on Steve Harris's response to Mark Kelsall's letter in the January issue. Mr Kelsall faces the pleasant problem of having two classic record decks. One key issue is that if if one wishes to play 78s then the Thorens is out as it only has 33 and 45rpm. Also, it looks like the arm on Mr Kelsall's 401 deck has an interchangeable cartridge fitting, which would make the option of using different cartridges easier.
