CAD's debut

A new British company, Computer Audio Design has made its debut with the ￡6900 CAD 1543, a USB-only DAC intended to achieve optimal sound quality from computer audio. Scott Berry, a self-confessed 'vinyl junkie', says he hoped to create a sound similar to that from the best analogue turntables. He's also obsessive about keeping signal paths short and free of unwanted switching so the DAC has a captive mains lead and no mains switch, for example.
