Not a lot of people know this but, before he turned to warbling for a living, Feargal Sharkey was a lanky streak of p~(**)s flogging televisions in and around the housing estates of Derry. And on one memorable occasion, he was sent out on an errand to collect some dosh from a customer who'd fallen into arrears with his payments. Our Feargal found the house and duly knocked. And knocked. And knocked again. Eventually this gorilla of a bloke comes to the door dressed in his vest and pants. Feargal politely explains that he's here in the capacity of the firm's collector and the bloke looks Feargal up and down, spits on the ground, loudly guffaws and slams the door in his face. Feargal hears him stomping up the stairs laughing: 'Send a boy to do a man's job!'
