A change of venue marked Salon Hi-Fi Home Cinema & Technologies D'lnterieur in Paris, from the Pullman Rive Gauche to Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel, and a gorgeous hotel it is. As in previous years, the show embraced all manner of home entertainment, from high-end audio to the current growth area for the industry: headphones and headphone amps. One of the biggest hits was Sony's demo of 4K video, though it's still via a computer source; nonetheless, the visuals were staggering. I was taken by the hyper-cool 'Parrot by Starck' headphones, but what stopped me in my tracks was the reappearance of one of my fave brands of yore, Aragon. Once subsumed by Klipsch, the marque has reappeared with an update of the 'notched enclosure' chassis.
