I rather thought your magazine was primarily concerned with hi-fi rather than lifestyle and cosmetics. As Paul Miller noted in his June Opinion column, anodizing might indeed add $5000 to the price of Magico speakers without adding one cent (or penny) to their sound quality. But rather than being an apologist trying to justify the expense, I was hoping this sort of mark-up would have been discouraged by Mr Miller, even when considering the well-heeled audiophile audience who, frankly, should know better if they care for quality of sound reproduction and have made their fortune rather than inherited it. Though, admittedly, this is more applicable to the US than to the UK.
